SPOKANE, Wash. — A Washington state couple is puzzled about who tried to break into their home, and even more so, why the would-be burglar had his pants down.
Dianne and Tod Lavalley woke up around 6:40 a.m. Sunday to their dog barking. Someone was trying to get into their home.
The man took off, and the Lavelleys didn’t get a good look at him. But when they went back to their security camera, they saw a lot more than they expected.
“We were just shocked when we first found the image,” Todd Lavalley told local station KXLY.
“It was shocking that there was actually somebody with their pants on their ankles.”
“Everyone that has seen it goes, this is not real is it, and it’s like yes that is a real shot from Sunday morning at 6:42,” he added. “We wouldn’t make this stuff up.”
Todd laced up his running shoes, and since the snow was fresh from the night before, he started following the man’s tracks.
He said the man must have approached at least 20 homes.
“Basically he was just doing a zigzag through the whole neighborhood,” he said. “I still can’t wrap my head around it, it just makes no sense.”
