Dodgers star Matt Kemp is sporting a brand new — and very large — tattoo of his grandparents on his chest.

Local tattoo artist Jun Cha posted photos of Kemp’s new tattoo on his website.

Kemp also tweeted a picture of the tattoo, with the message: “If it wasn’t for my grandparents I wouldn’t b where I’m at 2day!”

The detailed piece is in tribute to Kemp’s grandparents, Doris and the late Vernon Mukes. Vernon died in November.

Kemp has had other work done by Cha, including a piece on his left sleeve depicting the Archangel St. Michael back in Nov. 2010.

What do you think of the new tattoo?
