DAVIS, Calif. (KTLA) — A Northern California company is one step closer to creating a flying car.

Davis-based Moller International has been developing the Moller Sky Car for several years.

It’s designed for short distance, low-level flight and can be driven on the street at 30 mph.

Creator Paul Moller says a Southern California company has agreed to invest $80 million in the project.

Moller says he hopes to have a test vehicle by the end of the year.
