WeHo Plastic Bag Ban Goes into Effect

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (KTLA) — If you’re grocery shopping in West Hollywood, don’t forget to bring along your reusable bags.

bagsbanned-picThe city’s single-use plastic bag ban goes into effect on Wednesday.

If you don’t bring a reusable bag, stores will charge you 10 cents for each paper bag you need at the check-out.

The new policy goes into effect for stores that are bigger than 10,000 square feet.

Smaller stores will no longer carry plastic bags starting in August of this year.
