Even longtime observers of police pursuits were worried about how this one would end.

The driver of this car was driving so fast and so dangerously that at points pursuing officers backed off and let a CHP helicopter take over.

Even so, the two burglary suspects didn’t slow down.

Starting in Chino Hills, the pursuit stretched through multiple counties and multiple freeways from the 71 to the 105 and 110.

Estimated speeds on the freeway were around the 120 mile per hour range.

And believe it or not. it got even more dangerous when he exited the 110 at Florence.

Following one close call after another, the driver finally got out and tried to make a run for it.

He wouldn’t be on the run long.

After he was caught, so was the woman after officers say she crashed into a bus while trying to drive off in the car.
