PCH Shut Down After Pedestrian Struck, Killed

MALIBU — Pacific Coast Highway was shut down Tuesday after a pedestrian was struck and killed.

The collision happened along PCH at Decker Canyon Road around 6:45 p.m.
Investigators believe the victim had just finished fishing at El Pescador Beach and was attempting to cross PCH when he was hit.
The driver of the car did stop to render assistance.
Investigators say alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
The victim described only as a male Hispanic adult.

The accident prompted authorities to shut down PCH between Encinal Canyon and Mulholland Highway.
