Best selling author and pediatrician at Community Pediatrics in Westlake Village Dr. Tanya Altmann joined us to talk about kids and allergies.  An estimated 40% of children in US are affected by allergies.  Symptoms usually begin in childhood but can occur at any age with some years being worse than others.  Dr. Altmann covered specifics during the segment including how to tell the difference between a cold and allergies, is allergy testing necessary, what’s the best medication, and tips to help kids cope with allergies.
