BURBANK, Calif. (KTLA) — The Burbank City Council has banned vans and other vehicles that have the sole purpose of advertising.

The advertising vehicles were first brought to the council’s attention after vans advertising topless maids began appearing around town.

The ban also applies to vans or trucks with plywood billboards bolted to the exterior, because city officials say they pose a safety risk.
