PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. (KTLA) — Debris from a mudslide was blocking northbound Pacific Coast Highway in Pacific Palisades on Thursday, creating a traffic mess.
The landslide was reported around 4 a.m. on PCH just north of Temescal Canyon Road.
Both northbound lanes of PCH were blocked by dirt, rocks and other debris that tumbled down from behind a home.
Caltrans crews were working to clean up the mess.
The highway was eventually reopened around 3:00 p.m.
According to the LAPD, no residents have been evacuated.
A geologist was heading to the location to assess the hillside and determine if any evacuations were necessary.
