WASHINGTON (KTLA) — The Los Angeles Kings (2012 NHL Stanley Cup Champions) and the Los Angeles Galaxy (2012 MLS Cup champions) visited President Obama at the White House Tuesday.

During the ceremony Dustin Brown gave Obama a Kings jersey with OBAMA and the number 44 on the back.

Obama, the 44th President of the United States, said it’s a lucky number.

The Kings beat the New Jersey Devils 6–1 in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals to win the franchise’s first-ever Stanley Cup, becoming the first ever 8th seeded team in North American professional sports to win a championship.

The president also received a Galaxy jersey with OBAMA and the number 1 on the back from Landon Donovan.

The Galaxy have won the MLS Cup four times. (2002, 2005, 2011 and 2012)
