BRITISH COLUMBIA, Canada — A Chihuahua named ‘Honey’ is being credited for saving the life of a little girl  who was viciously attacked by a pit bull.

8-year-old Jenna was picking up golf balls when a pit bull burst thru a gate, clamping onto Jenna’s head.

That’s when ‘Honey’ jumped into action.

The Chihuahua barked and distracted the pit bull long enough for Jenna to be rescued.

She needed over a hundred stitches for a gash across her forehead and her eyelid was injured too.

But doctors say it could have been much worse  had it not been– for her dog honey.
