3.0 Quake Strikes Near Port Hueneme

earthquake-slidePORT HUENEME, Calif.  — A magnitude 3.0 earthquake was reported Wednesday afternoon in Ventura County.

The quake was centered 18 miles off  Port Hueneme, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The temblor occurred at 3:56 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 0 miles.

In the past 10 days, there have been no earthquakes magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
