LA Asian Pacific Film Festival & ‘Best Friends Forever’

Filmmakers Vera Miao and Brea Grant joined Frank to talk about their movie ‘Best Friends Forever’ which was featured in this year’s LA Asian Pacific Film Festival.

LA Asian Pacific Film Festival (LAAPFF) kicked off on May 2, and continues this week through May 12. This year it features over 140 films, from Asian Pacific American and Asian international directors.

‘Best Friends Forever’ had its world premiere at Slamdance; their LAAPFF screening marks their LA premiere. It will have an encore screening at LAAPFF on Friday May 10, at the CGV Cinemas in Koreatown.

Southern California’s largest and most prestigious film festival of its kind, the LAAPFF launches the celebration of Asian Pacific Heritage Month through this year’s slate of 140 films from both Asian Pacific American and Asian international directors from over 20 countries.  Over the past 28 years, the Festival has presented over 3,600 films and shorts by Asian American and Asian international artists.  This year, 3 feature films and 108 shorts will be showcased throughout the 10-day fest. Screening at venues in West Hollywood, LA’s Koreatown and in Long Beach!
