Every month we share the newest and greatest apps to install on your smartphone. On this special edition of Apps to Know, we’re sharing Rich’s top five must haves.

Stitcher – Pick your favorite podcasts and shows and the app stitches them together–It’s like having your own personal radio station.

Evernote – Evernote is great for taking notes digitally. Added bonus: it has a built in page scanner, which searches for text inside the pictures you take so you can save it online in a format you can edit.

Pocket – This is a neat app that saves interesting articles and videos you find on the web, so you can check them out later when you have more time.

Smartr Contacts – Smartr Contacts takes the cake as the best address book out there. It automatically finds and organizes everyone you’ve ever emailed, and lets you know which phone number or email address is the best to use.

Llama – Llama app lets you automate smartphone settings on phones running the Android operating system. Teach it where you work and live, for example, and it can do all kinds of neat stuff liking having it turn off notifications at the gym or even automatically put your phone to silent during certains hours.
