REDLANDS, Calif. (KTLA) — Residents and hikers in Redlands were being warned on Tuesday about two recent mountain lion sightings in canyon areas.
The most recent sighting was around 9 p.m. on Saturday on Sunset Hills Lane near Horse Trail Drive.
There was a similar sighting reported in the same area last week.
Wildlife officials advised anyone who encounters a mountain lion to try to appear larger and wave their arms slowly rather than running away.
In most instances, mountain lions will try to avoid a confrontation with humans, officials said.
