LOS ANGELES (KTLA) — UCLA coach Jim Mora offered an eighth-grader from Texas a full football scholarship although the young man had never played a down of football in high school, according to reports.

Mora found 15-year-old Lindell Stone in Southlake, Texas, according to Damon Sayles of ESPN Los Angeles.

Stone was offered the scholarship although he just finished eighth-grade at Dawson Middle School, Sayles reported.

The young quarterback was said to be 6 feet 2 inches tall and very fast.

Stone was not expected to enter college until 2017.

USC made a similar offer to an eighth-grader from Upland Monday.
