Brush Fire Threatens Homes in Santa Barbara County

ORCUTT, Calif. (KTLA) – Two hundred homes were evacuated Thursday after a wind-driven brush fire threatened structures in the Santa Barbara County community of Orcutt.

The fire had burned about 100 acres as of 3 p.m., according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.

No structures were damaged and numerous resources were sent to the scene.

The evacuation order was lifted around 5 p.m. for all areas south of Rice Ranch Rd.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
