Tech Updates: Samsung Buys Boxee, Amazon Employs Goats

Samsung has purchased Boxee. Boxee made versatile internet connected set top boxes but they never really found a wide audience. This should mean that Samsung Smart TV’s will get a better internet interface that’s easier to use and a wider selection of net connected apps. Boxee says it will discontinue its recently launched Boxee TV Cloud DVR service July 10.

Amazon has enlisted the help of goats at its logistics facility in Japan. They are there to help keep the grounds neat, plus the company thinks they make employees happy. [link in Japanese]
