Del Real Foods Chef Sergio Peralta joined us live to show us how to make easy, authentic Mexican meals.

Here are the recipes from today’s show:

Breakfast Machaca

Serves 6 portions Ingredients:

  • 1- 32oz Del Real Foods® Seasoned Shredded Beef
  • 2- Cups diced fresh onions
  • 2- Cups diced fresh tomatoes (or one 14.5 oz canned diced tomatoes)
  • 1- Cup fire roasted canned green chiles, diced & drained
  • 1- Tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 8- Large eggs salt and black pepper to taste (optional)

Instructions:
Heat the oil in a medium skillet over medium-low heat. Add Del Real Foods® Seasoned Shredded Beef and cover with lid for about 5 minutes. Add onions, tomatoes and green chilies. In a separate bowl beat the eggs and add to skillet. Sauté the mixture, then evenly distribute among the eggs. Add salt and black pepper (optional). When eggs are cooked, remove from heat and serve immediately with warm tortillas.

Carnitas Sope

Serves 6 portions Ingredients:

  • 1- 32oz package Del Real Foods ® Carnitas
  • 12- Sopes
  • 1- 24ozpackage of Del Real Foods ® Refried Beans
  • 2- Avocados
  • Cooking oil
  • ½ – Cup of Del Real Salsa ® Salsa

Instructions:

Heat the Del Real Foods ® Carnitas by following the instructions on the box. Place sopes in a pan with oil and fry until they are golden. Carefully remove the sopes from the pan. Spread Del Real Foods ® Beans over each sope. Place two spoonfuls of Del Real Carnitas over beans. Add slices of Avocado and sprinkle with cheese. Add spice to your sope by pouring Del Real Foods ® Salsa de Molcajete over Carnitas and enjoy.
