Pomona College Ranks Second on Forbes List of Top Schools — Courtney Friel Reports

Two California schools took the top spots Wednesday on the Forbes Magazine annual list of America’s top colleges.  The overall winner was Stanford University in Palo Alto which jumped up from third place last year.   Stanford has 19,945 students and costs $58,846 a year.

In second place was Pomona College in Claremont, which has only 1,586 students and costs $57,014 annually.

The editors looked at 12 criteria, including Student satisfaction, graduation rate, student debt, and Post graduate success, including alumni salaries.
