South San Gabriel Shooting Investigated as Murder-Attempted Suicide

SOUTH SAN GABRIEL, Calif. (KTLA) — An investigation was underway on Sunday after a woman was found dead and a man wounded at a home in South San Gabriel.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a shots fired call around 8 a.m. in the 8100 block of Cielito Drive.

The man and the woman both had gunshot wounds, according to Temple Station sheriff’s deputies.

They were involved in a relationship and had a 2-year-old child together, deputies added.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man was taken to a local hospital.  He had been shot in the torso, authorities said.

The toddler was not inside the home at the time of the shooting.

The incident was being investigated as a murder-attempted suicide, homicide detectives said.
