Stylist Vanessa Wade with Wool & Rose Styling and South Bay Galleria showed us five specific looks and how to calculate the cost per wear for each of them. The concept behind CPW is not so much what you spend, but more about spending wisely. A staple item would be something like jeans, which can run about $200. Our expert will then do the calculation- “if you wear the jeans 40 times in a year then you take 200/40 and you get $5 a wear- a great cost per wear!”

A trendy top for $35 you will wear 15 times (35/15) is about $2.33 per wear.

A luxury item like a watch can run about $600 and if you wear it 300 days out of the year (600/300) your cost per wear will be $2 per wear.
