Rose Parade Floats Make Test Run in Irwindale

IRWINDALE, Calif. (KTLA) — The 125th Tournament of Roses Parade is months away, but a handful of floats made their debut Saturday in Irwindale.

Six floats designed and constructed by Fiesta Parade Floats made a test run along Avenida Padilla around 7 a.m.

The test run allowed Tournament officials to check the mechanical and structural integrity of the floats before they are adorned with flowers, according to Fiesta Parade Floats.

The public also had an opportunity to see a sampling of the floats that will ride down Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena on New Year’s Day.

Fiesta Parade Floats produced the last 20 Sweepstakes Trophy winning floats, according to the company’s website.

KTLA will have live coverage of the Tournament of Roses parade on the morning of Jan. 1.
