Edwards had turned himself into authorities in late August after investigators began to examine allegations that he had molested a student at Granite Hill Elementary School in Jurupa Valley during the 2013 school year.

He resigned his job at the Jurupa Valley School District at that time, the news release stated.

The investigation showed that Edwards allegedly molested more than one child over several years, according to the news release. A warrant for his arrest was issued Thursday.

He was being held at the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside on $110,000 bail.

Anyone with information pertinent to the investigation was urged to callĀ Investigator Devine at the Jurupa Valley Station at 951-955-2600.
