Fourteen Year Old UCLA Student AND Chess Champion

Luke Vellotti is a 14 year old college freshman at UCLA and is a chess champion. Daniel Vellotti is Luke’s father and began teaching his son at the age of four how to master the game of chess. Today, the Vellotti’s are hoping to bring the competitiveness of chess that other cities around the country are experiencing to Los Angeles, starting with a revamp of the chess program at UCLA.
