Fire Burns Through Commercial Building in South L.A.

A large commercial building, possibly used as a furniture store, caught fire in South Los Angeles Friday morning.

The fire began about 8:08 a.m. in a one story building located at 6718 McKinley Ave., Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Erik Scott said.

Aerial video from Sky5 showed several fire trucks outside the building as crews worked to douse the flames.

Firefighters were able to knock down the blaze in about 20 minutes, Scott said.

There were no reports of injuries, according to Scott.
