Torrance Police Searching for Robber Who Stabbed Donut Shop Worker

A search was underway Thursday in Torrance for the man who robbed a donut shop and brutally assaulted a clerk, authorities said.

The incident occurred Wednesday at a Yum Yum Donuts near Prairie Avenue and Artesia Boulevard, according to the Torrance Police Department.

The robber stabbed a female clerk, leaving her critically injured, police said.

The robber’s image was captured by surveillance cameras in the store, according to police.

On Thursday at about 4:00pm, a Marriott Hotel in Torrance was robbed.  Police believe it was the same man.
