The 2014 City of Los Angeles float brings with it the very diversity and enrichment of the area the city spans. The front of the float features the space shuttle Endeavour (which is now housed at the California Science Center). A pillar that is topped with the Griffith Observatory, a mural of the Walt Disney Concert Hall and mural of Los Angeles Lakers Kobe Bryant. The middle of the float features dancers that leads to the front entrance of the world-famous and LA icon Olvera Street. Moving up the second structure a dragon representing Chinatown and topping the structure the Watts Towers. The rear pillar contains murals of the TCL Chinese Theater, the Hollywood sign and is topped with the famous Universal Studios-Hollywood globe. The rear of the float features palm trees, a Southern California staple.
