Los Angeles Fire Department and LAPD personnel responded about 6:20 a.m. to the intersection of Washington Boulevard and La Brea Avenue, where the motorcycle was apparently involved in a crash with a white pickup truck.

Sky5 video showed an LAFD ambulance transporting the officer to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in West Hollywood.

The officer was in stable condition after suffering a broken wrist, according to officer Sally Madera of the LAPD’s Media Relations Section.

La Brea Avenue was shut down between Washington Boulevard and Pickford Street as a cleanup and investigation got underway.
