Driver in Custody After Police Pursuit in Panorama City

A motorist who Los Angeles police said was driving a stolen vehicle led officers on a short pursuit on surface streets in the Panorama City area on Wednesday morning, drifting into oncoming traffic and maneuvering through a McDonald’s parking lot and drive-thru before being taken into custody.

About half a dozen police vehicles had been pursuing the minivan prior.

Police managed to stop the the driver by performing a PIT maneuver shortly thereafter.

The vehicle subsequently spun out and hit the sidewalk.

Video from Sky5 showed that police tackled the driver and handcuffed him near the intersection of Van Nuys and Nordhoff.
