The three-car crash happened on the 5600 block of Oakdale Avenue (map) around 9:45 p.m., according to a tweet from the Los Angeles Fire Department.

One of the vehicles jumped the curb and landed next to a building, according to LAPD Valley Traffic Officer Csizmadia.

Officials suspected alcohol was involved, and they were investigating whether street racing played a part as well, Csizmadia said.

Three people suffered minor injuries, and the alleged drunken driver was treated for deep cuts, according to officials.

Initially, the fire department posted on Twitter that a total of five people were injured, but authorities clarified on Friday that four people were hurt.

The driver, who was not immediately identified, was arrested on suspicion of DUI, Csizmadia said.
