Ryan Seacrest was among those who took to social media to report the flooding Sunday afternoon, which he described on his Twitter account as a “huge water leak.”

A second tweet from the radio personality and television host stated, “Could be bad for long gowns.”

Dave Karger, the chief correspondent for Fandango, tweeted that a burst pipe was to blame.

The public relations manager at The Beverly Hilton, where the Golder Globes were being held, confirmed that a sprinkler malfunction had occurred near the red carpet, according to USA Today.

The affected portions of the red carpet were replaced, USA Today reported.
