Gunshot Victim Found in L.A. Valley College Parking Lot

A man who was found with a gunshot wound in a parking lot at Valley College Saturday night has died, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department

The shooting was reported around 7:30 p.m. at the campus, according to Stacy Ball, a police service representative at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Van Nuys Division.

When officers arrived at the campus, which is located in the 5800 block of Fulton Avenue in Valley Glen, they discovered the gunshot victim in a truck, according to a tweet from the Community College Bureau of the L.A. County’s Sheriff’s Department.

The man was initially said to be in critical condition.

Investigators were working to figure out where the shooting happened, another tweet read.

No classes or campus activities were going on when the victim was discovered, according to the sheriff’s department.
