L.A. to Host 2016 Olympic Marathon Trials

Los Angeles was selected to host the 2016 Olympic marathon time trials, officials announced on Wednesday.

The trials, scheduled to be held on Feb. 13, 2016, will be used to select three men and three women to compete for the U.S. in the 2016 games.

The announcement was made during a news conference held in front of Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, which hosted the Summer Olympics in 1932 and 1984.
