Fillmore Man Arrested in Meth Bust

A Fillmore man accused of bringing meth into the country from Mexico to sell in Ventura County was arrested Thursday, according to news release from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office.

Carlos Beltran, 36, was taken into custody after the meth was found at his home, officials said. He was booked into jail for possession of methamphetamine, according to the release.

The discovery, which was made in the 1100 block of Ventura Street (map), followed a seven month investigation involving the Sheriff’s Office and the local office of the Drug Enforcement Agency, the release stated.

The value of the meth was estimated at nearly $82,000, officials said.
