Police in Silver Lake were searching Friday for two drivers who struck and killed a man last night as he was crossing the street.

Mary Beth McDade reports on another hit-and-run victim’s reaction to the growing threat on neighborhood streets for the KTLA 5 News at 10 on Friday, Feb. 14, 2014.

Damian Kkevitt was hit while biking near Griffith park and dragged half a mile under a car onto the 5 Freeway. He lost a leg and broke numerous bones.

On April 27, he’ll finish his ride with a thousand other cyclists.
