After the apparent electrocution, the still-unidentified man was found below a tree off Pacific Coast Highway, according to Sgt. Phillip Brooks of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The man appeared to have fallen into a thick hedge between two homes, aerial video showed. Firefighters raised a ladder from a truck to retrieve the body.

The man was pronounced dead at about 10:20 a.m., after deputies responded to the scene, in the 24800 block of PCH (map), Brooks said.

Aerial video showed the body being removed from a home across PCH from the Malibu Jewish Center.
