Thirteen people were injured Tuesday morning when a Metro Blue Line train collided with a vehicle in downtown Los Angeles, authorities said.

Few details were immediately available about the crash, which occurred about 9:55 a.m. in the 300 block of East Washington Boulevard (map), the Los Angeles Fire Department said on its news blog.
Two people were seriously injured, according to the Fire Department. Ten others were in fair condition, and one declined to be transported to a hospital.
Among the injured were the driver of the vehicle and at least eight light-rail passengers.
