Recipes featured during the segment:
Kid-Friendly, for those who love junk food
1 banana
1 cup kale – what kid do you know or junk food lover would look forward to eating kale in the morning, well know they will ask for their kale Blast
1 tsp peanut butter – this is a kid favorite
1 tbsp hemp seeds – high plant based protein, important for satiety and keeping blood sugar levels stable, this can prevent mindless snacking
1/2 cup blueberries
1 tbsp whole rolled oats
Unsweetened almond milk to the max line – lower in carbs when you purchase the unsweetened version

Slim Down Breakfast
1 cup mixed greens
1/2 cup cooked sweet potatoes – boiled potatoes are lower on the glycemic index vs baked potatoes, this means less sugar and less stored fat, but since they are high in fiber, they will keep you feeling full
1/4 avocado – don’t fear the fats! Healthy fat can actually help keep you full and lead to weight loss, decreased snacking and hunger pangs
1 tsp chia seeds – anti-inflammatory and good source of protein and healthy fats
1/4 cup frozen cherries
1/2 tsp cinnamon – can help balance blood sugar
coconut water to max line

Pre-workout
1 cup mixed greens
1/2 cup frozen cherries – can increase recovery and decrease muscle soreness
1/2 cup frozen pineapple
1 tbsp cacao nibs – vasodilators that help nutrients get effectively delivered throughout the body and contain a little caffeine that has been shown to increase endurance and athletic performance
1 tsp coconut oil – sustained energy that is slow digesting but does not sit heavy in the stomach
1 chunk of turmeric – curcumin is the active ingredient which is a potent anti-inflammatory, exercise is an inflammatory process, this is a crucial ingredient for any workout related Blast
