Dozens of teachers at Dominguez High School in Compton returned to school on Wednesday, a day after they called out sick to protest their pay.

Many of the teachers who called out were allegedly angry that they hadn’t gotten a pay raise in several years, while they claimed the superintendent got a salary increase last year.

On Wednesday, just two of the 90 teachers that work at the high school didn’t show up for the day’s classes, according to a school administrator.

The teacher’s union has denied organizing the sick-out.
