Two Wounded When Gunfire Hits DASH Bus in South Los Angeles

A young boy was one of two passengers wounded by gunfire while riding on a DASH bus in South Los Angeles on Wednesday.

Gunfire was reported around 6:40 p.m. in the area of 42nd Street and Avalon Boulevard.

Two people on board the bus, a 10-year-old boy and a woman in her 30’s, were grazed by bullets that struck the bus, according to LAPD spokeswoman Off. Sara Faden.

At least one bullet hole was visible in the windshield of the bus.

It was not clear if the shots were fired by someone on foot or from a passing vehicle, Faden said.

No arrests had been made.
