Sheriff’s detectives on Thursday were asking for the public’s help in identifying a male who allegedly stalked a teenage girl in the Rancho Cucamonga area, officials said.

The multiple incidents occurred between December 2, 2013, and March 11, 2014, according to a news release issued by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

On Dec. 2, the 17-year-old victim was driving a few blocks from her home when she saw a puppy in the road, the statement said. She stopped to pick up the dog when the unknown male, who was parked across the street, thanked her and told her the puppy had jumped out of his truck window.

The truck was described as a possible black 2011 four-door GMC pickup, with tinted windows, black door handles and chrome rims.

The girl drove off when he asked her if she could help him place boxes into his truck, the Sheriff’s Department said.

The next day, the victim was at a grocery store in Orange County when she noticed the same male’s truck parked near her vehicle, according to authorities. He allegedly walked up to the teen and tried to convince her to talk with him.

“On another occasion the victim’s father woke to find a truck matching the description of the suspect truck driving slowly past their residence around” 3 a.m., the statement said.

Between March 6 and March 11, the teen saw the male driving a silver Mustang on three separate occasions in the Rancho Cucamonga area, the Sheriff’s Department said.

The car was described as a newer model with two black stripes on the hood and roof, and chrome wheels.

Authorities on Thursday released an updated composite sketch of the male, described as “very fit” and “muscular,” 6 feet to 6 feet 1 inch tall, 200 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. He was seen wearing fitted T-shirts, and a watch with a silver band and a blue face.

Anyone with information was asked to call Detective Esmond, Detective Ixco or Detective Kleczko of the sheriff’s Rancho Cucamonga Station at 909-477-2850.
