Learn about cooking with Native ingredients at La Plaza in downtown Los Angeles. This exhibition is the first of its kind to explore how beaded floral designs became a remarkable art form as well as a means of economic and cultural survival for the Native North American people. 

Many of the objects will be displayed to the public for the first time.

The Museum of Latin American Art is honored to be the ONLY West Coast venue for the exhibition Frida Kahlo, Her Photos, which presents more than 200 images from Frida Kahlo’s personal Casa Azul archive in Mexico City.

The exhibition is not intended to be biographically chart Kahlo’s life, but rather an exploration of how photography played an important role in shaping and documenting her personal experiences.
