Shooting at Westside Restaurant Leaves 1 Injured

One person was injured after a gunman walked into a restaurant in Palms and opened fire Sunday night, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The shooting occurred shortly before 9:30 p.m. at the Super Pho and Teriyaki restaurant at 10953 Venice Blvd. (map), LAPD Sgt. Carlton Jeter said.

One person was shot in the hand and bicep, according to Jeter. He was rushed to a local hospital in stable condition and was expected to survive.

No other injuries were reported.

Police were searching for the gunman, described only as a Hispanic male adult, Jeter said.

It was unclear if the shooting was gang-related, according to Jeter.
