Attacker Sought After Girl Sexually Assaulted in Claremont Home: Police

Detectives continued their search on Thursday for a man suspected of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl in her Claremont home last week.


The Claremont Police Department released this sketch on March 27, 2014 of a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl in Claremont.

The girl was home alone when she was physically and sexually assaulted by a man who entered the home sometime between 10:30 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. on March 21, according to a news release from the Claremont Police Department.

Police have asked the public for help in identifying the attacker.

“We have received numerous tips today and detectives are busy following up on those leads,” Lt. Michael Cizek stated in an email on Thursday.

The attacker was described as a white man, 30 years of age, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a medium build, blue eyes and brown hair.

He was also described as being clean shaven.

The man was wearing a dark colored baseball hat and possibly a black and red flannel shirt, according to police.
