Shooting in Mar Vista Results in 2 Injured, Conditions Unknown

A shooting near a Mar Vista bar Friday morning resulted in two people injured, according to authorities.

Officers arrived at a bar in the area of Venice Boulevard after receiving a call around 2 a.m., Sgt. Laura Curtin with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Pacific Division said.

The shooting took place near 12017 Venice Blvd. (map), the address of an adult entertainment bar, Curtin said.

The shooting did not take place inside the bar, Curtin said.

No suspects have been detained and it is not known if the shooting was gang related, Curtin said.

The victims conditions were unknown and detectives were on-scene investigating, Curtin said.
