Woman Reported Missing in Westminster Found in Los Alamitos: Police

UPDATE: A missing Westminster woman was found and was at a hospital in Los Alamitos in stable condition on Monday, a watch commander with the Westminster Police Department said.

Westminster police and relatives of a missing 43-year-old woman were asking for the public’s help Sunday in locating her.

Alana Chavez was last seen around 9:30 p.m. Thursday near the McDonald’s restaurant on Westminster Boulevard and Locust Street (map), according to a news release from the Westminster Police Department.

Chavez walked outside the restaurant to the parking lot, crossed Westminster Boulevard and then disappeared into an alley, police said.

She was described as a Hispanic female with black hair and brown eyes, standing 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 140 pounds, according to police.

Chavez was wearing a black sweater, blue jeans and black sandals at the time she went missing, the release stated.

The woman’s family has offered a $1,000 reward for information on her whereabouts.
