Person Suspected in Homicide Taken Into Custody: LAPD

Two people were detained after officers swarmed a vehicle in the Jefferson Park area of Los Angeles on Tuesday morning, according to authorities.

The incident occurred around 7 a.m. on Harbor Boulevard south of Adams Street shortly, aerial video from Sky5 showed.

Police swarmed the vehicle with their guns drawn, according to the video. Two people could be seen lying face down in the street near the vehicle.

They both appeared to have been taken into custody by police, aerial video showed.

One of the two detained was suspected in a homicide, according to Officer Wendy Reyes with the Los Angeles Police Department.

It was unclear if the other person was involved in the crime or if that person faced any charges, Reyes said.

Police did not identify which person was wanted in connection with the homicide.
