School Bus Carrying Students Crashes in Brentwood, 1 Injured

A school bus reportedly carrying several students was involved in a crash with two other vehicles in Brentwood Thursday morning.

The crash took place at San Vicente Boulevard near South Bristol Avenue (map) at about 7:30 a.m., according to Francisco Villalobos of the California Highway Patrol.

The school bus and two other vehicles were involved in the crash, according to Villalobos.

Aerial video from Sky5 showed a white pickup near the side of the bus, and a black SUV that was stopped at the rearĀ of the bus.

There were initial reports that 12 children were on the bus at the time of the accident, but there could have been as many as 56 students on the bus, according to Villalobos.

One person suffered a minor injury and was taken to an area hospital in fair condition, according to Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

There was no immediate word on what may have caused the crash.
