1 Man Injured After Deputy-Involved Shooting in Lynwood

A man was injured after a deputy-involved shooting in Lynwood on Sunday, according to authorities.

The incident occurred in the 3400 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard (map) just before 4:15 p.m., according to a Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department news release.

The LASD Homicide Bureau was investigating the circumstances around the shooting.

A man was struck by gunfire, the release stated.

A handgun in the man’s possession was recovered at the scene, according to the release.

His condition and circumstances around the shooting were not immediately know.
